Ignorance is bliss
Something I've noticed the last little while is that the twins prefer not to acknowledge that their "other half" is in existence. There are moments throughout the day where they look at each other and smile or play together quietly. However, most often they pretend the other one isn't around. They compete for my attention, they don't like to me to hold both of them at the same time, and they always want what the other one has - no matter what it is or if they had been ignoring that particular item all day. Because of this, I do love the moments when they take the time to enjoy each other. We were at church last week and they were both playing on the floor. Brie shrieked at Cami and smiled, Cami replied with a shriek and a smile. This went on for a minute or two, it was really cute. They do occassionally give each other kisses and pats. Now that they are crawling we often have a baby parade down the hallway - they like to explore together. They are protective of each other when other people intrude in their space. It is so fun to watch their relationship develop.
