Even though the weather the past few months has been pretty mild, we have had our share of sick days this winter. I'm hoping that we are over the worst of the sickness. Brie had strep throat last week, but I took her in after just 15 hours of a fever (I was worried she had pneumonia, too). Our PA did a rapid strep test first and it came back positive. Brie never complained of a sore throat, we lucked out catching it so quickly.
The girls are doing really well. Maddie just finished an after school Spanish class that went about 6 weeks. She is starting her sewing class again on Tuesday. We have had a hard time with our schedules for piano, but I think she'll be starting that again on Saturday after about 6 weeks off. All three girls are in Curtain Call, we switched them in February from the studio they went to in the fall. My friend Wendy does Curtain Call and she's just down the street, which is nice. It's a smaller group and I think it will work well for the girls. They are loving it so far.
I keep forgetting to mention my new calling. I was put in as the Mia Maid and Laurel (I think we just have one Laurel) in Young Women a couple months ago. I am really excited about it! I'm still working on finding my groove for teaching, but it's going well.
Aaron and I took a few days off from our regular routine and went to Las Vegas with Brian and Wendy last weekend. We left Saturday morning and were in Vegas by 2:30. This trip we hit the outlets on Charleston, the dinner buffet at the Wynn, Earl of Sandwich, Carnegie Deli, Beatles Love by Cirque de Soleil, $1 midnight bowling at our hotel (South Point), a couple movies - Star Wars in 3D (for the guys) and This Means War (for the girls). We splurged our last night with dinner at Morels at the Palazzo. We had so much fun! We drove home Tuesday. The girls were so excited to see us when we picked them up Tuesday night and I was ready to be home after a few days away. Perfect.
