The week after Christmas I caught a respiratory virus and the stomach flu. I wasn't feeling well for about a week, it was awful. A couple weeks later I had a fever and just felt wiped out. After three days without any improvement I went to the doctor and found out I had pneumonia. It took about 4 days for the antibiotics to help me feel normal. It cleared up pretty quickly and I've had a few good weeks now. Hopefully that's the last of it for a while!
Maddie came down with something last weekend and had a positive strep test on Monday. Her fever didn't clear up after two and a half days on antibiotics so we took her back in on Thursday. She has pneumonia, too. The poor girl is so miserable. She's on a Z pack now so I hope she feels much better in the next few days.
Other than the bugs we've been dealing with, life is full of the usual stuff. We booked a week in May at a vacation rental in Capistrano Beach, we'll be going with my parents, Brandon's family and Chelsey and her husband. We're all really excited.
