Ready or not...

My last day of work is less than 3 weeks away. I am so excited about this! The financial aspect of it is a little frightening, but we have been so blessed. Timing wise things couldn't be better. Aaron's new job will allow some flexibility for overtime if needed, and we are just waiting for things to be finalized on the estate that we are beneficiaries of. That money is making everything so much easier and less stressful for us!

This morning Maddie said "Mommy, if you'll stay home with me today, I'll pay you." She's looking forward to my SAHM status as much, if not more, than I am. I am grateful I'm able to do this while she still enjoys spending time with me! :)

About the ready or not, I'm trying to prepare for the babies' upcoming arrival. I'm a bit of a planner, which is a good thing. We have purchased carseats, the stroller, the minivan, the cribs (thanks Mom & Dad!), I've started stocking up on diapers...that's is the one item I am sure I won't have near enough of! Of course they have a small collection of outfits, onesies and receiving blankets. I still need to buy a dresser or some kind of storage center for diapers and clothing, etc. but we are getting pretty close to having the necessities taken care of.

Something that several twin moms have told me is to have my hospital bag packed early, just in case. I am hoping and praying that the "just in case" they are referring to doesn't happen to me, but it's better to be prepared. So, that's the project I'm working on right now. I went to WalMart today to buy the toiletries for the bag (because it's just easier to do that than try and grab everything out of the bathroom in a hurry). I also found some cute pajama pants for $5 a pair. I figure I can rely on pajama pants and t-shirt as a main component in my wardrobe for the first little bit. I may be expecting the worst, but I don't anticipate wanting to or feeling like getting out and going anywhere too often at first. Maybe I'll be surprised...

I am 29 weeks 1 day. Tomorrow is April 15th - which is exactly 2 months from my 38 week mark. The babies will be here on or before that day. I just can't believe we are so close!!! Wish us luck!
